Not sure on the 405 but the 322 had more wires in the headlamp plugs and an ECU whcih takes readings from the steering angle sensor etc. Can be done (some of the D3 boys did it) but not plug & play. |

I bought my L405 from a dealer. I asked at the time and there was much sucking of teeth and harrumphing.

Yes, they are expensive. I had an adaptive one replaced under warranty on my 07 VSE and that was over 700 quid for the part alone. |

I've got adaptive headlamps on mine. Better to spec them from the start as I imagine it would be expensive to retro-fit. |

I specified adaptive lights with my new 405. A factory misbuild meant they were not fitted. JLR said they can't be retro fitted and suggested to build me a new one. Not sure why it should be so difficult but it must be as that's an expensive way to sort them out not being fitted... |

They are a £300 option. In my view should be standard on AB. Had them on my Volvo and really like them. |
