2010 Vogue SE, the TV button on the display is greyed out?

Hi all

I've purchased a 2010 Vogue SE and have a couple of minor niggles. The first isn't that important but for some reason the TV botton on the screen is kind of feint or greyed out and nothing happens when I press it.

Does this mean my car isn't fitted with TV or is there a fault?

If there is a fault there are no error codes that suggest anything like TV problems (there are a few other error codes though)

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Thanks Simon

Good plan, with only one small drewback... I have no idea what the TV tuner looks like, there are many many little boxes in there with wires coming out all over the place. Which one might be the TV tuner??

Thanks

Simon

Just to save any confusion? The TV tuner box above in Stan’s pic is an older type analogue unit. The later hybrid unit will be much thinner but in the same place Thumbs Up

Thanks, been and had a look, yet there is a black box in that position, but it's different to the one in pic.

I have found the 753 menu and found an entery that says "TVVariant - TV1Fitted" so assume it is installed.

So, I guess there is a fault somewhere as when I go to the 'video inputs test' and select TV/DVD I get a black screen. I can choose between PAL and NTSC, and Wide1, Wde2, Normal etc. But there is no picture.

The 'TV' button on the display is grey.

Any ideas where to start looking for a fault?

I have also just discovered the parking sensors do not work (what have I bought!!) I get the rear view camera on the screen when selecting reverse, but no beeps.

When I press the parking aid button, it doesn't light up.

I have code read and have found U0159 - Lost communication with parking assist - Permanent. Any ideas on this one?

Thanks again

Simon

Might be worth checking the fuses to see if any are gone.

Try uplugging the main plugs in the boxes in the boot, check for moisture in the area etc. Sometimes a tweak can spark it back to life. Discovery 4 HSE

Thanks again for the advice, I've got a weekend free so am going to give it a full service and will definitely check all the fuses and cables to the parking control & TV box.

Fingers crossed it's something simple.
