Welcome aboard Covbandit.

The burning question must be: "Do you / can you drive your Range Rovers?" If so be very interesting to learn of the mods required for you to do so, and hats off to you for it Thumbs Up Bow down .

2002 Range Rover SE Td6 Buckingham Blue

Hello all,

I sold some tyres to a nice bloke called Dan a month or so ago and he mentioned this forum, I then found it again after researching Android head units.

That was about two hours ago... So I figured I should sign up as this will be a useful place!

Hi All,

I stumbled across the forum while researching the L322 before taking one on a little while back but have only just got around to registering.

I bought a 2003 TD6 Vogue about 2 months ago and absolutely love it (it has a JE Engineering stage 1 remap). I have been a long term Land Rover owner, pretty much having owned or driven every model till just before the Evoque and Discovery Sport. I current have a TD4 Freelander, TD5 Discovery and the TD6 FF.

Also following the threads about fitting an Android head unit, I tackled this as the first major job on the car this weekend and got everything plumbed in without any issues (and what an upgrade it is too). I will get some pics up of the FF and bits once I get a few good ones taken.

Cheers,

Tony

Hello...New guy with a TD6 HSE

After being talked into buying a TD6 from my mate's dad, I thought I'd better join some Range Rover sites, do some research and get stuck in (it's a Land Rover product, it's bound to need TLC).

So, it's a 145k '53 car with two owners from new, a sheaf of bills, including a new gearbox about 12 months and 3k miles ago, and is in reasonably good condition. He even put a set of four tyres on it (and delivered it 200 miles to me too). Granted they aren't the most expensive or aggressive tyres, and are definitely HT rather than AT, but for what it's going to be used for they're fine. And they were free too so I cant be churlish! It's a Buckingham blue/parchment leather HSE with the smooth faced 20" 8 spoke V8 wheels. I know the HSE isn't to some people's tastes relative to the Vogue but given the Vogue's main claims to fame are heated rear seats (I don't sit in them), an ancient inbuilt sat-nav (I have a great Garmin with modifications to work with the average speed camera's on the A9), and better leather (a lot of the ones I've seen the softer Vogue leather doesn't seem to wear as well), I think the HSE is fine for me. I like it. I'm not sure the neighbours are too happy, although that may also have something to do with now having three cars sat outside the house...

Granted, it's slow and lumbering relative to my other car (a 330bhp/330lb.ft Impreza) but then most things are, and this ticks the boxes for the time I'm not after the ability to munch up miles as quick as possible. It's also got enough space in it for two of us to sleep in the back when going winter climbing. Yes, you can sleep across the back seats of the scoob but it's really not that comfortable! The lack of winter tyres on the Range Rover may be a problem when the roads are really bad but then again, if it's properly snowy I'd be taking the Impreza anyway to have some fun going sideways on empty roads...

No doubt I'll have a ton of questions over the next month or so...but anyway, here's my hello for now!

Hello you all!

Hi!

I have a nice 2002 RR V Td6 from 2002. IŽam the second owner and it has only 160.000 km (10.000 Miles) on the clock...

During my ownership I have done some needed changes to the suspension/chassis, or else just regular oil and filter change. So far it has been nice to me... Very Happy

But, I have recently noticed some issues I will present to you in other topics...!

Looking to get to know you all, and get some smart tips how to solve issues that arises on an "old" car.

Kind regards

JLS
