Anyone able to mod suspension settings in Herts/Essex

Following on from another users post wanting to lower the access height setting, does anyone know of somewhere in Herts/Essex who could lower just the access setting on my 03 TD6 to help get 2 elderly relatives in and out (1 is 79 the other 83 and about 5' tall)

Thanks guys

Would DCC be able to do it? They may have the capability?

Hi Craig

I messaged DCC but the guy there said he's sure the TD6 is at its lowest setting anyway in access mode? Just seen his reply but havent replied to him yet

Also, bit random, if the access height is lowered more so to allow access to the dragon-in-law, would it cause any more wear on the airbags if they're deflated more? (I'm assuming thats how it works?)

I did this on my 54 plate a while back.

You can normally lower it a bit more but as you say, I noticed when I drove off it did take longer to automatically reach normal ride height and so the compressor was working longer/getting warmer.

I use a chap called Michael at Green Land Land Rover near Colchester (01621 890083) who would be able todo this for you. Ask for Michael and tell him that Ash suggested you to call. Ash

I had the same problem, elderly relative struggling to get in, so I carried a sturdy caravan step in the boot that they used as a step up. Check out awning-centre.co.uk for examples from £10 upwards.
