got no idea what FSR is but my battery drain over night after much investigation by LR was down to the fact the park heating/cooling remote receiver was staying live and not going to sleep. - they swapped out the module (in the boot) and hey presto. |

I don't know if this helps but if I turn my heater/blower switch off and then lock the car the blower doesn't restart itself when I unlock the car or even turn on the ignition. I have to physically turn the knob or press the button to start the fan inclusding orange indicator lights. |

the problem i have is the heating/blower comes on sometimes when i get into the car to start up even if i turned it off on my last drive.

The FSR needed to be replaced on my 2004 car, but the symptoms were not as you describe (it was just a case of no heat into cabin, sometimes one could 'trick' the car by changing the area to be heated and then going back to the original choice once the hot air had come on).
