My 2010 exhibited the same behaviour. Nearly always went into 'Auto' when starting. Sometimes it would remember if it was re-started after a short time, but more often than not it went into 'Auto'. One of several irritations. |

That's great advise I'll try it and report back, how do carry out a 'battery reset'? |

Just one more thing to add (may throw some light on it) it had a new battery before I took delivery? |

Checked the spec in the manual and there's no reference to memorising a key to the seats, heating..... The Only the seat recall is on the side of the seat as hard buttons, my old sport had a memory from the key I can't believe this car 2010 vogue doesn't have this feature!

with the key you use all the time, set the heating etc to what you want and then press memory save on the side of the seat...

not tried it but you could be on a winner here Stan... I seem to remember that the key memory also retains the stereo volume and other settings for that user..

it happened to me Ash, when i used my spare key for the first time it moved the seat to a different position and the radio stations were from the area where the car was previously...i'm also sure the heating controls went haywire as well.. ... - .- -.

I've had a faff with the memory settings with both keys to move the seats and other stuff. I've even put one key in the freezer for a short time while I try to set the memory for the key in hand (1) and then swapped the keys around with one in the freezer and set the memory to the other key (2). Opening the car neither key will move anything, I have to press the numbers on the side of the driver's seat to move everything. The dealer took a look at one point and when you read the manual it seems to say it should do what I have tried to do but they say it won't. A bit like all the other things it says it should do but doesn't.
