yours has xenon dipped and mains Mat, when switch to mains there's a little flap that moves in the xenon enclosure ....the separate halogen mains are basically only for flashing other road users.. ... - .- -.

Now that is an interesting idea - presumably this is after replacing them with a much dimmer LED bulb so I dont blind oncoming cars?

the iidtool will only give you 2 settings for the drl/mains , 40% and 60% so you wont dazzle on coming traffic and you can still 'flash'.. ... - .- -.

Bit of a bump here - just found this awesome tutorial online on changing the sidelight bulbs - after reading lots of internet articles about removing headlights or needing the hands of a 4 year old, it turns out that the sidelights themselves (on prefacelift cars at least) are a doddle to remove!

Powerful uk have a habit of making things look easy, probably because they have dismantled the bits and re-assembled previously. The side lights do indeed come off reasonably easily provide the plastic wing nuts holding them in place are not corroded onto the screw threads, which they inevitably are. Then they are "difficult". |

Hi, Some googling from a few yank RR forums has suggested that these might fit, they have the special offset bayonet. Can anyone who's actually been inside their reversing light unit confirm they look about the right size? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-H6W-434-Bax9s...3641.l6368 A super useful thread on LED alternatives for supposedly non-LED-able bulbs here, scroll down to the post from "Boo": http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/6-range-r...sizes.html NW060 "Red Shed" - 1982 Series 3 88" County Station Wagon "Spirit of Great Britain" - Rolls Royce Meteor V12 engine ZG875 - Westland Sea King (cockpit section) "Carly Rae Jeepsen" - 2006 Jeep Commander 5.7 Hemi "Pride Of The Road" - 1/4-scale Marshall traction engine - sold "Georgina" - 2000 Discovery 2 TD5 ES - sold "Windsor" - 2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 - dead |

Yes those H6 bulbs will fit provided the pins are correct. No indication of Wattage though. If you decide to try them it will be interesting to see the results. |
