There are a load of posts on the RRS website relating to screens - the advice is you need to get an OEM screen no matter how much autoglass whinge or try and say the screen is equivalent.

Had mine replaced Tuesday this week by autoglass - was a non LR stamped but made by pilkington with same code numbers, tinted / heated etc - trims fitted back on with new clips - so far (3 days in) no problems wipers work (but better than before) on auto |

Have you considered, your insurance policy...normally comprehensive policies..you only have to pay your excess. So it makes sense to choose a policy, with a smaller excess, if you have a nasty chip, coming up to your mot... |

Mine was £75. Make sure it is fitted correctly though. I had to have mine changed as the previous one (also a replacement one before I bought the car) had been fitted too low and was touching the body. As the shell flexed the screen cracked in the lower right hand corner. The fitter struggled to get the wire through that cuts the sealant. |
