Anyone know the exact weight of a MY2010? That is - have you had it on a weighbridge?

1 litre of Diesel is about .85kg, So you can take about 42kg off the kerb weight for half a tank.

You could always jack it up with the ramp in place and remove all 4 wheels and spare, hazzard a guess at 20kg each, thats 120kg,remove jack, parcel shelf[weighs a tonne] and wheel cover in boot, floormats, any clutter, towbar !! |

I suppose it depends how old and well maintained the hoist is. If it's fairly new and the car is balanced correctly it's "probably" not going to collapse, but it'll shorten the life of the hoist if it's done on a regular basis.

Official weights are fantasyland so don't even bother looking in the manual

Sounds like the manual is about accurate going by what you've just said. The Kerb weight in the manual is just an empty car with a full tank of fuel. It doesn't include the driver or any of the random clutter you or I fill our cars with.

True, but you need to add back in all the spare tools, towrope, batteries etc, that the typical full fat owner needs to carry in order to deal with the day to day mechanical and electrical challenges we all face.
