Anyone know what this is ?

Found this "thingy" on the driver side of my 5.0 and was wondering what it could be part of. I hope it has an ignition switched live feed as that is where the IU will go so we can power it directly from there Smile.

Are those legal in the UK ?? Radar/laser scanners ? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

It is the docking point for a speed camera detector - Roadpilot micro.

It is a good thing but now superceded in my view by their iPhone app. I will have a look around see if I still have my old one (I think I let it go with the last Aston, though. If I find it, you are welcome to it.

Does this photo help, you can see a "box" on the dash that may have been connected to the bracket. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

No doubt in my mind that is what it is - I used to have one above the rearview mirror in my last two Astons. A very neat install.

As I say, I will hunt around for mine but I'm pretty sure I let it go.
