Question for you Weegie, Do you have an iPhone and how well does it, if at all, charge the phone when connected via USB as i cant find any stats to show what power it will push over the USB cable as the normal USB limit is 500ma which can be annoying when you want to charge your phone and listen to music/podcasts across the USB interface.

Sorry I don't have an iPhone. If you send an e-mail to Umno-Tech he should be able to advise. As I mentioned previously, he says he isn't comfortable with English on the telephone (unless your German is fluent?). He did respond to all e-mails.

The sixth photo above shows where I put the USB/Aux socket. It's a long extension which runs behind the right hand passenger footwell trim to the cubby hole. The trim has to come off to remove the glove box anyway. John

@kingpleb, I understand now. Was thinking of glove box but can see the advantages in the cubby. John

Well I've started the install on mine as I'm replacing the changer... Needless to say it's amazing at the amount of panels I have off it now! And the structure supporting the dash isn't exactly flimsy either 😄

Well it's fitted and seems to be working, will test with a USB stick tomorrow. It does however need the fancy Apple adapter thing to work so I've asked them where it is on their site as now I need it typically I can't find it!
