Except I wouldn't want to use the standard jack except in a dire emergency. |

Not done a 405 (yet!) - but on every other RR or LR D3/D4 we have had I could change all 4 wheels (winter for summers and vice-versa) in 25 minutes or less. That's using a trolley jack I bought at Costco's and a couple of axle stands for insurance.....I also ditch the locking wheel nuts for regular nuts as they are a pain in the arse and a common failure point. (and if someone really wanted the wheels they would get them off despite the locking nuts anyway!) |

Didn't realise diamond cut wheels could be smart repaired, & only £35 for 2 wheels! |

yeah i got surprised too - took him only 20 mins - he said they are better to be repaired than the polished AMG wheels.. |

And the key question Angel Frank is, were you happy with those very reasonably priced repairs (sounds like you were) in which case, excellent |

I'm intrigued by the process - every company I've asked seems to want to remove the tyre, blast/strip, machine, re-paint & lacquer |

He seems to know what he is doing - since he works usually to 95% for the local AMG/Mercedes Benz used cars center where they prepare cars to be refreshed.

Hmm, interesting. I have also been told by tradesmen that it can't be done. To the extent that they have turned down the business. I'd much rather it was done at my house so I don't have the inconvenience of sending the wheel away.
