Front headlights

Apologies if this has already been discussed i couldn't find anything.
My passengers side front main headlight seems to have turned an amber colour. I have a my2010, 2009 5.0SC.
Is this my bulb on its way out or something else. If the bulb, is it a simple, take it to the dealer/halfords fix.

Ok, silly question, where can I find out which bulb type I have. I can only seem to establish that the lights are xenon bulb type? 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

just to point out that there are different colour temperature xenons available..

the standard temperature is 4300k which gives a very slight yellowy tint but you can get 6000k which is a more whiter light with a slightly blue tint..its claimed that the higher temperature you go , the more brightness you loose but i find that because the 6000k is whiter , the brightness 'appears' the same ..

obviously if you change one bulb to 6000k then its preferable to change the other ..... ... - .- -.

If one bulb is on its way out, i guess the other will follow suit very soon after! Always best to have a matching pair fitted Thumbs Up

and they change colour with age, so even if it doesn't fail it's still best to pair them up.

Ordered 2 today, decided to stick with the 4300K. Current ones fitted were Philips Ecostart so ordered two for 80 from amazon.

So many options was tempted to go for the brighter ones. 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

They definitely appear whiter / blue-er, but in the wet, I find you notice they just don't quite show the road as well as the lower 4300k temp bulbs. V8 or else ...

They do!!
Found that out a couple of months back! Offside one went, I had a replacement in the garage from when a Pheasant took out the offside indicator unit not long after we bought the car so we had to have a new headlamp as the lugs to locate the indicator unit were totalled!
Replaced the offside bulb then a week later the nearside one went pop! Think it was around £60 from Halfords.
