United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Bonatti Grey

VW polo all the way. We have had three all new from md. None has ever let us down, last one for ten years and never broke down once. Amazing little cars. Great build quality imo with superb durability and no rust issues. Ours is full md history 1.2 three cylinder with 115k on the clock and drives like new. Would recommend 10/10

I hear the Jazz is good as well but be sure a jazz door is like a rizla compared to a polo.

Like your choice on the polo, we're a bit the same with another Jazz.. uber well built and never let us down... it'll be hard to go elsewhere..

Had a look at a Polo 1.4 Match on a 13 plate this evening. Very nice, bit lazy on the right foot but we don't need a drag racer and it has a nice quality feel like the Honda. It's one to consider for us Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

My ma runs a fiesta auto and it's very good, but a wee bit small, could be cosy for three in the back, but my dad has a Kia Soul auto 1.6D, it is really good, nippy good on fuel and has a higher than std driving position, although nothing like the ffrr. And it has the added bonus of coming with a 7 Year warranty Shocked He got his when it was 3 years old and still had more warranty than most new cars Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... If I were you, I'd stick to the Honda. By the sounds of things that is the best car for you and your wife. Lets be fair, Honda has been a very reliable brand (statistically at least) and if the previous ones have been so good, you may be disappointed with anything else if that goes wrong: "we never had this issue with the Jazz !!! ".

I have a good friend who drove a Jazz for years in Canada and he loves it, never let him down either and got him wherever he needed, even in winter Wink.

Cars are not all about rational decisions (and I think almost every FFRR owner is living proof of that) there is a bit of emotion involved as well. It is not rational to look at past experiences and project them to the future (our previous cars were faultless says nothing about your future car, nor do statistics) but it is something humans tend to do.

Going for a car you are obviously very positive about is likely to be the way you're least likely to be disappointed (unlike buying another FFRR but maybe we are a bit masochistic or just don't care enough to not have a FFRR Smile ). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

TBH with the leaf and any electric car Range Anxiety is something any new owner faces.

Best advice is see if you can grab a new one for a 24hr test drive. See if you can get on with charging it and the trips she does.
The place i work currently the wife of a director has just moved on her 118i in replacement of a used leaf over the weekend and she only does 6k a year but a few days in is loving it. Quiet, smooth and very nippy is what he says she comments on. They are charging it every night via a 13amp socket even if there is 60%+ still in the battery and he thinks over 4 years it will have paid for it self in petrol savings (solar panels help him recoup some of the cost to fuel it up and night time elec rates)

They are thinking of spending the money on the faster charger but they have an A4 Avant and a Qashqai for any longer trips that are needed in the family. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

We've considered the options suggested and some others too, but at this stage it's down to 2. A Jazz or a Polo. Basically same price and spec, Jazz bit nippier but polo a touch bigger in the cabin.

We're in no rush, VW garage have offered a half day test drive and Honda the same. We're going to do that over the weekend and get a real feel for them. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Interesting read. We do like the polo and have to say I'm not a huge fan of the Mk3 Jazz. I looks bloated.

Looking at a Polo TDi too at the weekend. See how it all goes. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

TBH I would go with the polo too. had a few VAG group cars and they have all been faultless.

SWMBOs current skoda is approaching replacement just due to age rather than milage and i am wracking my brains what to replace it with. I quite like the idea of the A3 sportback or a Golf, or possibly a new Yeti, and I can't convince her to go for something bigger like another FF or LR of some description! So it looks like I'm heading back to the VAG garages again.

One thing i would suggest if you want to get something slightly bigger for the same money would be to look at the Skodas, they are by and large excellent, and better value than the equivalent Audi or VW. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Nice looking little car that Thumbs Up took me a while to get SWMBO to even sit in a skoda.......

Then she drove it, and coming from a 206 1.4 to an Petrol Octavia VRS convinced her..... Rolling Eyes There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
