L405 s

In my opinion L405 s are starting to become more affordable on the used market . Anyone else agree ? Of course I would only consider one that was approved with a two year Land Rover warranty . Someone talk me out of it ! Mad

Personally they are affordable for me when under £5,000 as I won't waste any more on an offroader... Was looking at one the other day, rear steel bumper will be pretty easy, front one a bit more tricky but very doable... another 8-10years and we'll see how good they are off road, I suspect much better than the 322.... Thumbs Up Pete

After Angel changed his I got looking as you do, a LR approved used L405 5.0SC AB, with rear exec seating was about 70K.

Now, I can't afford that, but they ARE dropping.

Thing is, much as I know how great the L405 is, and I REALLY want one, I absolutely ADORE my L322 5.0 SC and plan to keep it longer than I've kept any car, its just THAT good.

I think I have a perfect couple in the L322 5.0 SC AB and then a Defender also. The irony is, the RR looks a mess and the Deafener looks stunning right now! Discovery 4 HSE

I have noticed that the best deals are those with the executive seat options (2 rear seats only). Sometime 10k cheaper than equivalent 5 seater car.

Seems on 2nd hand market its more family purchases rather than executive purchases which is driving prices and demand.

Anyone else concur?

There was a lot of speculation about that.

It's not just the extra seat, but also they don't fold down, so less load space too if that matters.

I really wanted that option, as did my 2 kids, but SWMBO put her foot down

Yep the L405 is a fanatastic car.

When I first bought it after moving from an RRS I wasn't sure if I had made the right move, however after a couple of months it has really grown on me. 2014 SDV8 Autobiography Cool

Frank,

I don't doubt you one bit, but I am some way off being able to spend that type of money. Realistically my next one will be a diesel again, so I fancy the 4.4 SDV8 in VSE or AB spec. Discovery 4 HSE
