InControl or Out of Control?

I have remote App. on phone and IPad.

Location reliable, mileage recorded reliable, journey, miles to empty all ok.

BUT I have regular times when 'Doors or Door unlocked' is showing. Shocked

Checks reveal all doors locked and vehicle secure.

Today I had the unlocked scenario, which after a few minutes changed to 'Vehicle Locked and Alarmed'.

So, I have seen other posts questioning InControl and functioning issues.

Trackstar recorded all events and was for me reliable. However, my concern is that if the 405 ever disappeared, the mis-information would compromise my insurance.

As this is a GPS system and replacement for Trackstar, should it not be fast in response and reliable with security information?

I assume data is logged somewhere and retrievable.

I picked up my new L405 on 21 September and have had no problems with the app so far. My mates are amused that I can check up on where my wife has been and when!

InControl

I too have a problem with the InControl app.
Mine permanently says I have no fuel and no screen wash.
Dealer says they will sort at first service next month.

I too have the app and the only issue I have is the length of time it takes to actually connect and update the info when I use it. It gets to the stage of giving me a warning saying it is taking longer than expected to and there is a network delay. Is this anybody else's experience? Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Yes, I typically get warnings that it is taking more time than expected to contact the vehicle but I put that down to a poor signal where it is parked.

I don't think it can be a weak signal as mine is parked about 20 ft from me now and it always shows the same warning. I don't think it's a fault I just think it must take that amount of time to check and convey all the info but iam more than ready to be proved wrong. Thumbs Up Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

My new L405 was fine for the first 20 days then it went in for some illuminated tread plates to be fitted and they had to connect into the wiring loom, this caused a glitch with the app stating constantly that my car was unlocked when it clearly was. Investigation showed that the connectors to the new wiring were not fully home and the sensors were not reading correctly. May be worth keeping an eye on it so see if this may be a problem. The dealership knew straight away where to go look first when I explained the situation with the false readings on the App.

I haven't bothered with InControl for the last two cars, it was a right pain trying to register a second car on the system with it saying I was already registered so I gave up. 2015 RR SDV8 Vogue SE

So, changed internet provider from Orange (EE) to BT.

InControl remote works as before in Ipad, but no longer on mobile phone, with message 'Network not available to verify sign in with Land Rover'.

This despite mobile having access to two Wi-Fi sources and cellular signal.

Mobile is Samsung 3G (Android) which has been ok until changeover.

I reside in a 2G area, but it worked with EE.

I read on LR website that EE was the favoured provider and that InControl may not work with some providers.

All settings the same as before change. I will find a 3G zone and keep trying.

Meanwhile, anyone have ideas what has happened before I approach dealer Sad
