Confused about antifreeze

Hi all,

I am about to flush my system and renew my antifreeze on a TD6.
Rave says it needs 5 litres of antifreeze but is this 5l of ready mixed or 5l of concentrate?
I cannot seem to find the answer and don't want to get it wrong.

Many thanks

Mike

To refill you need about 11 litres of coolant of which 50% should be neat antifreeze. ie about 5.5 litres antifreeze.

Euro Car Parts is good for De-ionised water to mix with the AF

About £2 for 5L on offer when I looked yesterday. Howard

Eurocarparts also do ready mixed antifreeze for about the same price as concentrate, taking into account the total amount you'll need.

Thanks for all your replies.
Have just ordered concentrate from Amazon.
By all accounts it's going to be a harsh winter and I have not checked my antifreeze for years.

If it's not been done in a while it's worth putting some cooling system cleaner in with the old stuff before you drain it out

You know it's just as important to make sure it's good in summer as it is in winter don't you? Smile
