Some of the interior trim in my SC is looking a little worn. I was going to get some replacement trim, but V expensive so considering do a spray job but then one of my mates turned today on his customised street motor bike which is covered in carbon trim and looks amazing. He basically said, don't mess about respraying, takes too long, HYDRO DIP it, you can have any effect!!!!!! I'm going to look into this in the next couple of weeks. Just need to decide if I am going to stick with Piano Black or Carbon. It would appear that the possibilities are endless.

It will be as hard wearing as having it sprayed, they clear coat it with standard car paint after it's dipped...

I just couldn't stand that hand crafted real wood and wanted to cover it with cheap fake carbon, what's wrong with that??

Wheeler dealers did hydro dipping on the L322 episode, doing the same parts of the trim. Cant remember the name of the company they used, but it looked very good. A youtube search should find it . . .

If you want black you only need to sand the part back to the plastic base and then compound and polish it back to a shine.
