So they have stan, they were there earlier. Big Cry
They used 12V powered rams to open and close in place of the original dampers.

I think I would be to worried about denting the boot by accidental opening or mis judging clearances height or depth.

In fact I think some FF post 2006 or was it L405 have the button conveniently situated next to your knee so you can easily open it into your garage door or wall when reversing.

I am sure I read a rant post on this forum.

Also having seen how slow merc and audi power tails work and thinking about how lazy do I have to be to want one I just don't think it's for me. Just MHO Howard

This is a demonstration of the use of a powered tailgate on the Evoque. In true LR fashion it seems an incredibly complicated way to open it.

Makes you wonder if the head designer has a very dry sense of humour and is gradually introducing more complications to brighten his day. Yes lets see if I can get this crazy idea I have all the way through to production before anyone notices.

I was reading the L405 forum. Apparently closing the sunroof is almost as complicated.

The L405 has a powered tailgate that seems to work pretty well - buttons on the dash, key fob & tailgate to operate Thumbs Up
