Sky viewing card mislaid

I've been using my multiroom sky card in our static and I've mislaid it. Do sky charge for a replacement?

Probably......they charge for everything....

But they can cancel your old one and re issue the new one, so shouldn't be too bad. Probably about £10 iirc😳 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It was a few years ago, but I needed a new card, can't remember why. I phoned them up and told them one of the kids had taken it out of the sky box and buried it in the garden. I remember the woman laughing. She sent me a new card free of charge... So maybe it's at their discretion? Previously..

I've only just gone back to them though. I turned the whole lot off earlier in the year as it was getting silly. They called me recently and offered me the same package for half price for 12 months which was better.

Normally the i will leave tactic works really well and we have used it many times with all sorts of sevices usually with a good upgrade/ reduced pcm price. After reading the thread i had to put my 2 pence worth in re sky. My wife and i had been with them continually for 13 years and long story short our world sevice package has risen to almost £100 pcm so i phoned and done the usual but to no avail. I was told that as an existing customer i was worthless to the company and only new customers are given priority.

I promptly switched to virgin, where i get a 160 meg dedicated broadband line (completeley unlimited ), all the channels sky had, 24/7 free landline calls, can record three channels at once and watch a fourth, have the tivo downstairs and virgin plus in the bedroom which can also record hrs of shows which is also hd.

We can watch 4k amozon prime and netflix 4k without ever having buffering.........ever whilst browsing etc on muliple devices around the home. The inital price was close to sky at £70 pcm but half price for six months. Went the price went back to normal i phoned and said that sky were trying to get us back Very Happy virgin said no worries hows £50 pcm for 18 months.

So sky can go Censored themselves. We will never go back, internet speed is king imo and in not so many years all tv content will be streamed and the likes of Netflix will be the norm.

Rant over Thumbs Up

Called Sky and got a free replacement. I was honest with them and said I'd removed it to clear a fault and put it down somewhere, only to lose it.
