I have the brembo brakes on my tdv8 but when I brake it feels so underpowered ,the hose recall was done a few months ago but it still feels vague and like it's not going to stop ,it could just be I'm used to cars that stand on there nose when you need them too .

Has anyone upgraded the discs and pads on theirs L322 2008 vogue

They should feel pretty good.

Don't forget that they are stopping the best part of 3 tonnes which is probably double what 4 pot brembos are usually asked to stop!

On my 3.6, the calipers were starting to show signs of age and the discs and pads were contaminated with something, swapped the lot and it was a massive difference. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Pad compound can make a huge difference

Cheap pads give poor pedal feel, and fade much earlier

Stick with OEM pads, or uprated EBC items

What brakes are you running? Are they factory LR pads? As thats important sir

I suspect there the original pads as the cars new to me

Check the condition of the cv boots and all the gaiters round the ball joints. Mine had split and somehow deposited grease on the discs

Not sure how it happened but reduced braking considerably. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

When was the brake fluid last changed?

Cheers I'll check the boots just in case ,it's not on the service history so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the original fluid L322 2008 vogue

I had my recall done recently while the car was in for service. while thay will replace the front hoses, and bleed and top up the brake fluid, they won't change it as JLR will only pay for fluid to bleed after the hoses have been replaced.

I change my brake fluid religiously every 2 years - makes a massive difference to the life of the seals in the braking system. Easy job to do with a Gunsons 'easibleed' kit.  2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)
