Not sure about the venture cam, but unless you have had the upgraded digital tv module installed you won't pick up the channels. |

There are a lot of rest of the world tv modules doing the rounds on ebay that won't work in UK cars.

A 54 plate will have an analogue TV tuner , the newer hybrid tuner is in fact slightly slimmer and I think your Venture Cam has a gubbed batterie . When they start to die the led's work but there isn't enough juice to transmit . 2008 MY Supercharged

Is it? When i replaced mine the Hybrid unit is physically identical to the old analogue one. Looking at the pic posted above, that's an analogue one. Which is what mine had when i got it, the hybrid looks exactly the same but the label has the word "Hybrid" on it. It's a straight swap, but i found i had to use the IID tool to tell the car i'd fitted a digital/hybrid one to get it to display the channel names correctly. I also later used the IID to tell the car it was digital only, it makes it ignore the analogue band and find channels faster. There are basically 3 physical types of TV tuner fitted to the L322, The BMW one (non touch screen), the MOST one (touch screen) and the later Digital unit (2009 onwards). |

When I changed the tuner on my last one the Hybrid was definitely thinner because for a while I just slid it down next to the old analogue box and plugged it in and there wasn't nearly enough room for a same sized box . I then installed it properly later and it also had different spaced mounting holes , but It did say Jaguar on it and came from Wiggs . I assumed they were all the same but It's just as possible that there are a few choices that work . 2008 MY Supercharged

Yeah mine was just identical to the original, there was no way it would fit in there without removing the old one. (it's a complete pig of a job to remove the old one, for what looks like a simple task.
