Me thinks your alternator is fubar'd Sad If your lucky it could turn out to be the brushes which are a cheap fix, I would talk to someone who rebuilds them, and keep everything crossed Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Yep that looks goosed. If you are v decent with the spanners then it's do-able, if not then it's a general garage job. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I take it you've double checked the battery terminals? I had a very similar incident when the negative terminal was loose.

Grab hold of the connectors and give them a good yank - if they come off in your hand (giggidy) that's not good.

13.5 volts is not good?????
Needed to be 14.2 - 14.4 minimum

13.5 volts is the minimum that the battery will charge, but the on board says it's 12.5 volts which is no good to man or beast. It could just an issue with the voltage regulator, and changing the brush pack will sort it, or it could be a lot worse and some of the windings have failed.

I had an alternator that was putting out the red light on the dash but only producing a few amps and 12 volts. But the only way you'll know is to get it tested on a proper test rig, I'm sure that someone rewinds alternators in Staffordshire, and providing that the bearings haven't given up and smashed everything (making it fubar'd), a repair will be a lot less dosh than a replacement Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Do not get it repaired!!! It's a bas Censored of a job to get the alternator off and a brand new denso unit (not exchange) from Dan is less than 200 quid

I wouldn't want to risk remanufactured at that price.
