Me thinks your alternator is fubar'd If your lucky it could turn out to be the brushes which are a cheap fix, I would talk to someone who rebuilds them, and keep everything crossed Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Yep that looks goosed. If you are v decent with the spanners then it's do-able, if not then it's a general garage job. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I take it you've double checked the battery terminals? I had a very similar incident when the negative terminal was loose.

13.5 volts is not good?????

13.5 volts is the minimum that the battery will charge, but the on board says it's 12.5 volts which is no good to man or beast. It could just an issue with the voltage regulator, and changing the brush pack will sort it, or it could be a lot worse and some of the windings have failed.

Do not get it repaired!!! It's a bas of a job to get the alternator off and a brand new denso unit (not exchange) from Dan is less than 200 quid

Well its going to hospital on Saturday ...I will post an update when I have the answer.. First rr..I'm loving it at the moment until the bongs kick off.. |
