I've been reminiscing about the FFRR and looking through some images I took 5 years ago when I bought it.

The farmer who owned it serviced it regularly but it was a working vehicle and the paintwork had severe hedgerow rash and poor washing scratches. It was in a bit of a state and required some TLC to bring it back from the dead

For the heavy scratches Farecla G3, light marks Farecla G10, then polish to a high shine with A-Grade polish (available on ebay) then Chemical Guys E-Z Glaze then a coat of Chemical Guys 50/50 wax.

There is no quick and easy way or miracle cure to get from scratched paintwork to an almost perfect finish, it's hard work and take a lot of time, but the above shows what can be achieved with a bit of time and effort

Well.Just got back home after a great road trip visiting friends & family in the UK.
1400 miles of pure pleasure,what a wonderful FFRR,smooth,quiet & beautiful.
My first FFRR.I'm looking forward to enjoying & loving it,like John has.
Thank you John for your preparation work,it has'nt missed a beat all the way to it's new home in the South of France. (no more salt for this FF)

Glad you made it home Marc & Annette. Good to know it's behaving and 1400 miles is an awesome test for a 13 year old FFRR. It never let me down in my 5 years ownership, once the fuel pump started playing up when I returned home and a new LR fuel pump was fitted the next day and that's the only 'near incident' I had with it. As I said when we were speaking, if something doesn't seem right then investigate straight away and fix it, don't 'let it develop' How did Annette get on driving it? or go you not give her a go behind the wheel!!!

Annette drove it for the first time today on a mix of country roads & fast RN roads.
She loves it.In fact,I was surprised how much she loves it,& how well she has taken to it.
Also got her first wash today......The FF.Not Annette
