Thanks Contra, you're the only forum member that's seen it in the flesh. Going to be a sad day when it leaves the garage. |

What a nice one, just about in budget for me too and with such a lot done! If only it hadn't been the best part of 400 miles away..... Someone's got a belter. |

^ All the parts I've replaced are common faults with the FFRR, a search on the forum throws up these problems/parts all the time. I've found that replacing non genuine parts on other vehicles I've owned never lasted and never quite fitted correctly so always use genuine parts now as they last much longer and are a straight bolt on without any faffing about. Non original front suspension parts can be bought from a certain website/over the counter for a fraction of the cost of original parts, but it has been proven time and time again that they don't last. My FFRR had 115k on the clock when I bought it, my guess was that most of the parts were there from new and if they lasted that long then fitting original replacements would last another 115k. Man maths and my time involved meant it is cheaper in the long run to replace with genuine Land Rover parts.

Definitely agree with fitting genuine parts, after-market parts never seem "quite right" when you come to fit them.
