Car not telling me it needs servicing!

Hello all

I got my car in April 2015 and it had a service just before I collected it at 45k. It's done 16k miles since and not come up with a service indicator - is there anywhere in the menu that I can find out when my car is deciding it needs a service by?!

I reckon it's probably due a service, if not overdue.

I know with the RRS I previously had it was either every 12 months or 15k miles, which ever came first. Not sure about the L322 & my L405. 2014 SDV8 Autobiography Cool

They are not infallible. I had one that never seemed to ask for a service. I had to remember to book it in. Went 15 months once.

They're based on the amount of fuel you use, which is directly affected by how you drive. So if you only do motorway miles, then theoretically it will go on longer before asking for a service, if you do lots of short trips from cold it will ask sooner. If you're lead footed they'll ask for a service sooner.

15 months should be long enough to trigger the time based reminder and i would think that could be affected if you'd had the clock set incorrectly or had a flat battery - because how else would it know how much time had passed since the last one.
