Wabco Sintered Brass Filter (yr=2002)

Does anyone know if you can get this item replaced

On the later (2006 models ) I see it has a hex shoulder for unscrewing but this is just round.

Long nose pliers can rotate it but obviously starting to crush the brass.

I was just trying to make it better - my intention was to remove and clean it but things are going downhill so any idea of replacement / service strategy Smile

Thanks. Howard

dingg1 - Thanks for the reply Smile I was not too sure if it was exhaust only or also inlet, if exhaust I only I shall follow your advice. Simples.

NDFI - it does not appear to be threaded - I suspect it may be barbed and pushed in - does not seem to want to come out easily - tried levering near interface joint with sharp chisel - no movement - only slowly destroying the sintered brass - soon to be solid brass Big Cry

Since I will remove to drill it - Going to do the whole Bagpiping Andy kit on the piston - nice kitchen table job for the darker nights! Howard
