Had my hoses done today at Barrets, Ashford.

Excellent service and nice coffee.

Dropped it off at 07.45 this morning and keys were returned at 09.45 so 2 hours.

Had to take the service book back for them to stamp, even though I gave them the service book when I booked the car in. Also, the "visual check" showed that the rear tyres had 6mm. Interesting for new Toyo's last week (50miles ago). Queried this and service manager was called to measure again. Still said it was 6mm although did admit he measured the outside edge.

Had mine done as well at Stafford Land Rover, dropped in at 10-30 and collected it at 4 pm. In between they lent me a ejoke coupe sd4 auto, yuck what a horrible little car! Small inside and view around abysmal, very bumpy and uncomfortable and people pay for these! Couldn't wait to get back into a proper 4x4 they gave it a full check and test with a tick list and found nothing that even warranted a mention, the service rep commented on it being a beaut, buy a good un first I said like I did👍

Had mine done Thursday at pentland landrover dropped car off in morning collected in afternoon . Got a discovery sport as loan car hmmm not impressed with it not worth £37k . Had the free coffee but no car safety check done must be to old for them 06 . Brakes feel fine

Finally done at pentland Perth , after failing mot on a suspension arm. Loan car was a discovery sport, not too bad but so glad to have the full fat back on the road. Only advisory was a tyre nearing legal limit, next on the shopping list !

Mine went in to listers land rover in solihull yesterday for front brake hoses and exhaust finishers recall, now all done , dropped off at 1.30 pm collected at 4.00 pm, all done, & valeted 2007 supercharged ,Cairns Blue with Navy & Parchment Interior

mine done today at stratstone just over 2hours lovely coffee and watching the lucky people picking up their brand new land rovers btw mostly discovery sports

Just collected mine, all sorted. Actually painless experience followed by the technician saying "keep hold of that one, we don't see them that good at that age in here often"  Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Put car in to get recall done and noisy wheel bearing drivers front I noticed in downpour when I drove it 610 miles home.

Dealer has

Damage lower suspension arm, outer CV boot, result,

Now needs new inner and outer track rod end, new brake metal pipes, new driveshaft!!, new lower arm, full alignment and tracking, now on day 3!!!!!!!!!

Lost all faith in even the workshop in Aberdeen dealer as well now!

You could not make this train wreck story up!!

the Car was perfect apart from the bearing, only getting the recall done

Won't be paying any bill that's for sure!! Current vehicles

took mine in yesterday to Lookers, thought i would wait the couple of hours. 1 hour late was told that during the process they the nipple on the caliper was seized and snapped- so they will order a new caliper. Hopefully get my car back today.
New braked were only done last year, less than 4k miles ago, should there be an issue with parts seizing in that time? 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

so - apparently the Brake Caliper ( Brembo) is on back order and wont be available until October 10th. They are doing there best to get one in the next few days- so now i will be given a Discovery. The journey continues. 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

DAY 4 and still no car returned to me!!! NOW DAY 5!!!!! as they have also broken the bonnet release cable as well now!!! and deformed the rear diff fill plug!!

outcome DO NOT USE PETER VARDY IN ABERDEEN FOR car sales, car repairs, or any other service as they are hopeless!!!

Waiting to see if they have the nerve to give me a bill for their incompetence!!!

I am sure the Press and Journal local paper will be very interested.

well I am now speechless, my car will not be available till next Monday now!!, maybe!!!

lost all faith in Land Rover dealership quality control, level of competency and required franchise standards being enforced.


Think will maybe cancel the SVR as don't trust it being PDi correctly for delivery if it was to go near the dealer!!
