Several hours later and the FF will now start however the engine warning light is on all the time. Disappointed with LR assistance. |

So far, so good in the context of a very expensive, 5 month old car with major problems |

My L405 has also been more troublesome than my L322 which is very disappointing. But sadly I'm not surprised. It's more complex and it's a Land Rover. |

If I wanted reliability I would have purchased a Land Cruiser LR Assist have offered me an X5 as a loaner They said it was because it was a Sunday?? I am going to wait until tomorrow to see what is available. Just like our NHS, where you should avoid falling ill or injuring yourself at the weekend, the same rules apply to Land Rover breakdowns. (Although I am sure nobody plans these things!) |

X5 is a very good, more than respectable car. A reasonable offer at the weekend, particularly in austere times... £50k courtesy or the bus? Let me think about that one

I agree, and after my wife having 3 X5's in the past they exude quality and style. I have access to another car so no rush and no bus. I found it a little amusing that JLR offered it to me. |

It seems either supremely confident or very naive to me to offer you an X5..... |

They're either sure you won't like the X5 and can't wait to get the FFRR back - confident

Still waiting for a suitable replacement car. I had to chase LR multiple times today but got nowhere. The first guy I spoke to at 8.30 (they start at 7:30 and they promised a call first thing) said to me that he would check on the loaner and call me back in 10 mins. Almost 3 hours later I had to call him to chase and he said he had forgotten about me. Then I am told they don't have resources to get me a car. which do I do?

A phone call to the DP of your supplying dealer, they get kicked by LR for any failure against targets so they will be delighted to have the boot on the other foot.
