United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Carpathian Grey
The FF has arrived

After being without a Land Rover of any kind for a while, we've now said goodbye to the Diesel X5 and hello to a new FF 4.2 S/c.

The buying process was not without it's problems with so many cars "not as described". Why do people do that. Had a 350 mile round trip to Warwick to look at a 2007, in dark blue with ivory, at a dealer. The interior looked like it had potatoes growing. The piano black had been cleaned with a brillo pad and the dealer had described it variously as excellent and VGC. Well thanks arsehole. You cost me a day of my life and a pile of wasted petrol.

Thankfully, we eventually found this super example, low mileage, well looked after with FSH. Had it in Terrain Vehicles in Hastings yesterday for new rear tyres and after it had been up on the ramps it was pronounced very clean and an excellent buy.

I have a couple of questions which hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction:

The rear enntertainment remote control is missing. Lots on US eBay but not UK. Where's the best place to get one in the UK

The removeable tow ball is missing. It's a Westfalia. Can they be bought seperately and where.

Where to get fixings for the front mats. They are genuine but only 1 fixing on the drivers side and that's not fixed.

Now some pictures because if I don't, I know you'll be on my case.

Hi and welcome newbies Thumbs Up

@ V8noise , in response to your question about tow bar, have a look at pf Jones, they have all the parts needed at reasonable prices.
For your other question I'm not sure about that fixing unless Dan can help. Duckworthparts Thumbs Up

P's nice looking ff in silver Thumbs Up If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Hi all, been lurking round here for a couple of weeks soaking up the knowledge having decided to take the plunge and upgrade my Evoque to its far bigger brother.

Just collected my new car today - a spotless 2012 model Autobiography 4.4 tdve from Hunters in Guildford.

Never glided along in anything so wonderful in my life, nearest i got was a 6 series BMW a couple of years back but this is simply another level.

France 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi Peeps

After searching for 3 months and using a great deal of the helpful advice on here, I will be taking delivery of my first Landy in a couple of weeks.... a 2007 Vogue SE.

I have been a member of the MX5 forum and the Golf GTI forum for many years and look forward to the same helpful experience I enjoyed there. (Golf had to go, but the 1994 customised MX5 is still going strong)

Oh and I should mention the car is having the wheels changed back to standard......personal preference and with the benefit of many viewpoints on here.
Many thanks

Sherman

Maybe owner

Hi guys I'm thinking of getting an 06 Vogue. Had a test drive and was smitten. Now I've had a chance to sleep on it I', sure it is what I want however I would like some guidance on the following -
It was a petrol engine not sure if it was supercharged - either way I intend to install LPG any problems?
I've done my own servicing for the last 40 years, are these able to be home serviced. Seller was trying to tell me that it needs to be serviced by his service centre - once a year at £400 to £600 a time. Is this so?
Any points to look out for would also be welcome.
Thanks Clive

I'm sure this is totally normal but after getting this home yesterday I paced around the house for a bit before going out for a drive for no real reason (other than to just enjoy the beauty of the thing), then I did the same this morning, and now I feel like doing the same again now.

I've had several brand new BMW's, a 645 convertible and an Evoque but none of them can hold a handle to this, the ride is just sublime and the power, oh the power is so nice.

Perfectly normal and if the need last longer than 6 weeks it means you are perfectly normal and do not need to see a doctor.

Enjoy.

Australia 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Alaska White

Hallo everyone, I have just bought a white 2007 supercharged 4.2 Range Rover Vogue and I am very happy with the purchase! I live in NSW...with my car, which is yet to be named...probably call her Pandora as I had difficulty in opening her cubby box. I have a question for anybody...the rear camera worked once fine...but has never worked again...I have checked the fuse and removed the neg terminal to reboot the software and the problem was not fixed. Could it be the camera has finally died or is it more like ly to be another problem which I am unaware of. A new camera costs $AUD 1345 to install by Landrover Australia. Can anyone help me please. The car has done 115000 Kms approx. Many thanks. Jonno

Search on here for " Hidden menu" this will teach you how to access a diagnostic screen to see if you camera actually works and the problem is elsewhere , Land Rover Australia have an almost criminal attitude to roorting prices usually four time rest of the world pricing , further down on the list of topics is one called Duckworth Parts it's a Land Rover dealer in the UK who will post out parts at proper prices

Hidden menue info

Thank you Axle for your information on the diagnostics. I have done both diagnostic s on the MY2007 RR and list diagnostics say there are no errors. Second dignostics on Video input does not show up camera picture, but says it is fitted.
There is an error code on TV/VCR input but TV does work. Just out of curiosity should the TV be on PAL or NTSC? Seems to revert to PAL system. Thanks for your help on this....it means I don't have to pay some technician 100's of dollars to search for the problem!!!! Cheers.

TV is PAL here but the reverse camera is NTSC ( why do it the easy way and have them the same )
You could begin by checking connections from the spoiler on as far as you can but I suspect you camera is gubbed . 2008 MY Supercharged

Thanks again axle. Can these cameras be taken apart and repaired? Can a non Range Rover/Jaguar camera be used. That is do you know if there are compatible cameras for this 2007 RR s/c...at a lot cheaper, or are Land rover cameras specific and therefore unique....adaptors/ software/sizing etc. Cheers once again....by the way, do you know where I can purchase a rear entertainment remote control unit, that was missing when I purchased the RR? So many questions...must be a bit of a pain!

I have never done it so I can only speak of what I have heard here but a camera from the UK won't be too bad and with a bit of Dremel work and a soldering iron you can fit a higher definition camera from a later FullFat and some have even fitted after market cameras with a bit of work but one plan would be to get a rear spoiler from a wreck and re spray and fit that then all you do is connect the camera .
Get a cup of tea and do a search on here , there is lots of info . 2008 MY Supercharged
