What diagnostics equipment do you use?

Going to be investing in to some diagnostics equipment soon. What is the best system out there for these cars? Solus Ultra any good?

Thanks.

IID BT. Thumbs Up

Also have a Nanocom, but it's slower, does less and, after a corrupted CCF (despite the NC informing of a successful flash), I've sworn never to flash with it again...

The IID is quick, user friendly and safe with lots of functions and great support from GAP. Smile Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I'm considering buying a IID as the Faultmate is way too cumbersome to use. Cables all over the place, laptop etc. I have a camera briefcase to carry all the stuff around (plenty padding to keep the Faultmate safe but still). It is also harder due to the serial connector not being on modern computers and the serial to USB connection is also not helping. The BT option is even worse since it needs one more cable (charger) as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Definitely IID by Gap.

I also have a Hawkeye and an Autel MaxiDas DS708 but the IID is the go to tool for me. The original IID uses the dash display as it's 'screen' which is a very clever idea making the tool compact and easy to use (I leave mine in the car, ideal for those unforeseen emergencies). The only downside of the original is stuff like live data can't be graphed, you just get a digital display. That is fixed with the bluetooth version which uses a smart device for display. The IID is one of very few tools that will also allow changing of factory configurations such as 'beep' on remote locking/unlocking, what lights to use for Follow Me Home etc. etc.
For the money, features and convenience I don't think you can't find a better tool for Range Rovers.

IID is about the one to use other the L/R! Which is why I don't have one and I'm envious of those that do Sad

I have an iCarsoft unit that will do the EAS and some other bits (limited range), and I also have navcoder, which will do things that even the L/R wont, like change the rear view camera to PAL from NTSC, but it only accesses the Audio / TV and LCM. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I only discovered this site after I had got the iCarsoft Censored unit Big Cry , and I blame the lack of car stickers out there, so you should all share the blame Wink

And yes the IID tool is a no brainer, I'm now waiting for the ffrr to stop self-harming so that I can save up for one Evil or Very Mad Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

^^ Question Shocked

"I'd cut my wrists if you drove me every day......"

Is You A FFRR Pete ? or are you offering to sacrifice yourself? or was that an offer of a job, which I would have to decline, cos the back seats would be covered in claret Shocked Laughing

I would have to turn you down on all counts, as we need someone mad enough to throw his ffrr in a river, for fun and film it Wink Besides, I thought that you now classed yourself as a Yorkshire man, giving up 9 pints Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
