Going to be investing in to some diagnostics equipment soon. What is the best system out there for these cars? Solus Ultra any good?

Also have a Nanocom, but it's slower, does less and, after a corrupted CCF (despite the NC informing of a successful flash), I've sworn never to flash with it again...

I'm considering buying a IID as the Faultmate is way too cumbersome to use. Cables all over the place, laptop etc. I have a camera briefcase to carry all the stuff around (plenty padding to keep the Faultmate safe but still). It is also harder due to the serial connector not being on modern computers and the serial to USB connection is also not helping. The BT option is even worse since it needs one more cable (charger) as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I also have a Hawkeye and an Autel MaxiDas DS708 but the IID is the go to tool for me. The original IID uses the dash display as it's 'screen' which is a very clever idea making the tool compact and easy to use (I leave mine in the car, ideal for those unforeseen emergencies). The only downside of the original is stuff like live data can't be graphed, you just get a digital display. That is fixed with the bluetooth version which uses a smart device for display. The IID is one of very few tools that will also allow changing of factory configurations such as 'beep' on remote locking/unlocking, what lights to use for Follow Me Home etc. etc.
For the money, features and convenience I don't think you can't find a better tool for Range Rovers.

I bought the Bluetooth IID, great bit of kit.

IID is about the one to use other the L/R! Which is why I don't have one and I'm envious of those that do

I have an iCarsoft unit that will do the EAS and some other bits (limited range), and I also have navcoder, which will do things that even the L/R wont, like change the rear view camera to PAL from NTSC, but it only accesses the Audio / TV and LCM. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
