United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

Just to add my bit to this thread...

I'm 48 and just purchased my first FF. This is not my first LR, had a Freelander in '99 and had it converted to LPG Shocked and then a couple of years later traded in for a TD5 Disco.
The Disco was used for offroading as well and I designed one of the first heavy duty rear bumpers and rocksliders for it in the UK. Due to a change of jobs and serious amounts of driving I eventually relented and sold it as it was sitting on the drive without use.
In the period of drought I have had a Merc E320CDi estate and traded in at 272k miles and after that have a Mazda 6 2.0D Sport estate - this is still with me until I get the registration transferred.

2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Aged 37 and my recent FFRR purchase (2010 VSE) is car No 49 for me. I had a late P38 4.0 HSE on 2001 and got hooked then. Been in small / faster since but now got children to needed something robust for them to try and destroy. Traded in an 18 month old VW Tiguan (hateful car) as my son was slowly dismantling it.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

30 yrs old and picked up my first Range rover today Smile

It's a 61 plate SC Autobiography. I also own a 911 4S Coupe (997.2)

This is my first Range Rover. I have previously had a couple of X5's (05 3.0i and 07 4.8i) - very different to the FFRR which i'm enjoying so far!

Andy do you have a 150, 180 or 225? Im seriously considering a 225 at the minute as they are getting quite cheap even with high to average mileage Smile

I'm 35 owned my FFRR since 2011 and loving it. It's used for towing farm trailers, towing my boat, travelling in bad weather, family car and going away on long drives.

Also own a BMW M3 as a daily drive which is another amazing car!!

Couldn't bring myself to buy a car which will lose £100's a month so buy 8 yr old cars which have already lost 80% of their value. Current:
FFRR 3.0 TD6 L322
BMW M3 E46

Gone:
2002 BMW E46 330d Estate
1997 BMW M3 Evo
1984 SIII Landrover 2.25 petrol SWB
Vauxhall Calibra 2.0i
Peugeot 205 XS

I first drove FF's in the late 70's when I was in my 20's.....towing a FF (Formula Ford) over Westminster Bridge on the way to Brands.
These were pre M25 days!
In the last few months I've been driving FF's again...a couple up Pikes Peak in Colorado towing an F type (!)....and the FF I bought when I got back home.
After nearly 40 years in motorsport we have come come full circle and there is still no better tow car!
We won't count the numerous 40 tonne Artics which took over the job whilst I flew to races.....but try getting one of those up Pikes Peak! Rolling with laughter
We did score an all time low of 3mpg towing the Jag to the summit with an SC FF Big Cry
But a best of 38mpg driving sensibly back in GB with the 4.4 TDV8 Very Happy

PS I'm no longer in my 50's Neutral 2012MY Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 Vogue...now gone!
2007MY Mercedes C200 Estate 'Albert'
