Air Suspension Fault Code Clearing - Basingstoke Hampshire

Morning chaps,
I have had ongoing issues with my L322 2010 air suspension which I hope to have rectified with a filter and piston replacement, which I did yesterday.
On the test drive I think I have nailed it but after a few minutes out got the usual "Air Suspension Inactive" and, bizarrely, this is always accompanied by "Forward Alert Not Available"

Doing a forum search I gather that I need to get the hard faults cleared and need a fault reader to do it. I am going up the road to see family on Friday, so don't really have time to wait for one to be delivered via the post.

Is it possible to get one from a retailer or am I stuck until I get back when I will order the full iid tool?

Many thanks all- happy hump day!

I feel for you,

just a thought, but have you tried local, to you, Range Rover parts suppliers, one of them might have one on the shelf, or be able to get it a short notice. Failing that you need someone with a reader that isn't iid Shocked cos those are set to the vin number Sad

I have an icarsoft unit, which is cr*p to say the least, but it will reset EAS codes and it's not locked to the vin Smile But I am no where near you Sad But you might find a sole who is..... good luck!

And on a final note, hindsight is a wonderful thing, I wish that I had a iid tool Sad Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The read and clear faults function is not set to the VIN number on the BT iiD tool. It can be used for any L322 FFRR. Including suspension faults. Wink John

Thanks for the pointers chaps, although, remarkably and happily, it all seems to be behaving itself today. I don't know if the suspension needed a couple of run throughs on its BITE, but fingers crossed, no suspension inactive, no forward alert warning, just a happy, functioning system!

Reminds me a bit of my TVR days - any motor can break down but it takes a special kind of machine to decide to fix itself!

Roll on the weekend!

I'd always be happy to read/clear codes for members, but probably a bit far from you unless you're heading this way. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

As I understand it, if you have the BT tool, you should be able to read and clear fault codes for any year L322.

From the Gap website:
"Standard, unlocked diagnostic functions for the IIDTool BT (Bluetooth) covers all Land Rover models / years that we provide coverage for. Enhanced functions are VIN locked." John

Thanks to all for the offers of help - it seems to be playing ball, for now! Hopefully it will remain in a good mood for the weekend and my journey North.

Cheers all! Thumbs Up

What's your timing and route? I'm not that far from Basingstoke and always carry my IID Tool with me. However, I'm off to Mid Wales after work tomorrow.

But... If you're crossing the M4 the same time more or less I'm passing would be happy to meet up and clear them for you. (I think mine will clear despite being locked to my VIN).

Picking up a mate in Bracknell at about 6 and then hitting the M4 down to Swindon to give you ideas of timing.

Sadly not a BT, so will only do 02-05.

"IIDTool

For the regular IIDTool, all standard unlocked diagnostic functions are available for the specific model vehicle that the IIDTool covers." .
