I had a problem recently when my front passenger door simply refused to latch. Only realised when a warning came up on the dash. I was out at the time and the short drive home was a bit challenging. Lock mechanism needed replacing - at the time (about a month ago) I was told that it wan't a known issue.

The issue is "A concern has been identified where customers have reported the inability to secure the door in the closed position either on the primary or secondary latch. Some customers have reported that one of the vehicle doors has opened whilst the vehicle was in motion. Vehicle doors not securely latched in the closed position may, during driving, open. This can increase the risk of a vehicle crash or compromise the safety of vehicle occupants." If you are George Michael then this recall is a bit too late. |

Although I was one of the "some customers" and my car went into LR for a new lock mechanism I'm pretty sure they only looked at the faulty door. I haven't had a recall notice since which leaves me wondering about my other doors. My tip if it happens to you (and is a nearside door)is to find a route home involving mainly left turns and definitely no roundabouts.[/quote] |

I think the cause of this issue was electrical.

Still a bit of a worry for me, they obviously didn't know this at the time mine went in as they definitely replaced the lock |

I had the door fly open on a friend's Series 2 88' I was riding in as a passenger. I thought JLR/BL would have fixed that by now. |

When I go on topix I can only see the update/recall title but don't have the full info as to the issue or the LR resolution.

You have to subscribe, but be careful, I did but still couldn't access anything, had to call LR customer service. |

This recall didn't apply to my car, it was in today and they checked, although i did have an issue with the drivers door not latching last week. 2019 SDV8 Autobiography in Byron Blue

Mine has had this work carried out and today I was unable to get out of the vehicle without multiple attempts because the door handle would not work. This is only since the recall has been carried out. The recall is now on v2...is this a known issue?
