Dash facia control dials

I've noticed that the dash facia dials on the 2007>RR are edged in silver/chrome. Can these be used to replace the boring all black ones on the 2006 TD6 dash facia. Can the all black ones be 'pulled off' and replaced with the smarter chrome edged ones.
If they can, are they something you can buy as individual spare parts or do you have to source a dash panel to cannibalise?
Ta.

I think the knobs are an integral part of the panel as they have a push button in the middle of them.

However i don't see why the complete panel couldn't be swapped for a later one, as they're the same, just different cosmetics.

I think you'll be stuck with the clock and suspension switch though, as they moved the suspension switch on later ones.

I believe this has been covered a number of times on here.

General consensus is that the units are not interchangeable, but some have managed to build the facia from 2 units......or do some machining.....

Did my 2002td6 and posted the results on here .

I have a completed 2010 unit for sale that you can strip down for the parts .

It is fairly straight forward to do takes less than an hour to do .

If you can't find the pics I will take some more and post them

Looks like its the first link above Thumbs Up

Aren't the 2007-2009 heater panels interchangeable with the earlier ones? They look like the same panel, just with different knobs on.

The 2009 onwards one is completely different though.

yes you can use the later heater 2007-2009 control panels on earlier cars they are the same units just with slightly different buttons. i bought a 2007/8 panel from a diesel and then just swapped over the grey fascia as the earlier one is slightly lighter than the 2007+ and then reprogrammed it to my car and options, worked a treat all the connections are identical

hope this help
Matt
