TRANS.FAILSAFE PROG

Hi all,
I have RR L322 Td6 Year 2003, a few days ago itīs began a message appears TRANS.FAILSAFE PROG. At first, it was only sporadically, but in recent times almost daily and increasingly. I was in an authorized service LR in our city. They said that there is a need to change the oil and filter in the gearbox. They made the exchange. The next day on the way to work we know it resurfaced error message TRANS.FAILSAFE PROG ....
Can someone tell me whether the experience with such reports? Has anyone had a similar problem? If so how to solve it? Personally, I suspect an error in the gearbox...

Hi Dimi

Welcome to the forum. Please use the search facility and do some background reading as there is so much about the problem you has, and so many possible causes. Search on "trans failsafe prog" (yes, use the inverted commas)

If you don't find an answer, come back. Also it is often useful to get the codes read and reported, as this can help to diagnose the problem.

Thumbs Up .

Dimi, it could well be your radiator is blocked at the bottom and the gearbox oil cooler is affected. Maybe investigate changing both at the same time?

Second dolphinboys suggestion, change the main radiator and the gearbox oil cooler. Early l322's had a problem where the bottom 6 rows of the radiator collapsed internally and restricted the coolant flow to the gearbox cooler, causing an overheat and the Texans failsafe mode.

Hi guys
Thank you for your recommendation.
I replaced the oil in the gearbox and all required gaskets and fault persists.
I was again in the diagnosis of an authorized Servs LR in our city and there they told me that the problem is reportedly motor Transfer Box
now looking for a suitable supplier for the spare part, but I'm afraid that if this is really fault I'm looking for ....
