The audio is not as good on this newly acquired vehicle as I was expecting. The 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE was outstanding and I had to turn down base and subwoofer. This is 'tinny'. I have bass up to max. The subwoofer control seems to make no difference. That is also up to max.

I checked fuse 9 (audio amplifier) and that is ok. Any obvious things I should be looking at? 2012 5.0L S/C

Which system do you have? 750W or 1200W (speakers labelled Logic 7 HD).

What source are you playing from? Also are you trying to evalutate this with the engine off stationary, or on the move. The levels will be affected by both.

Best thing to try is engine on, from CD changer.

That said I too didn't think the amplification was as good as the 3.6 pre facelift logic 7. But i haven't had chance to have a good fiddle yet to set it up right. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Tried everything. CD, Radio, DAB. Running and engine off. Very poor sound. Tinny as if there is no sub-woofer or any base at all. Ok for listening to the news but no good at all for music. Discovered this in a 6 hour drive to Yorkshire.

I think there must be something wrong with either the amplifier or sub-woofer 2012 5.0L S/C

Try to see if the sub is actually working at all, play some music then open up the left have boot compartment, the sub is the black plastic thing blocking the front of the compartment. See if you can feel any resonance in the chamber or feel the driver moving at all, if the amp was out I suspect you would get nothing at all,'but it could just be one section driving the sub which has failed.

The difference isn't that night and day from the old one so it does sound like something has gone pop.

I think there are some audio system tests you can run via the hidden menu but tbh I don't know whether they would tell you much. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I think you may well have an issue with yours? I can make my ears bleed and innards rumble with my Logic 7 system. AC/DC are a particular favourite!

Take the cover off the left inside the boot and you can see the subwoofer. Check its not become de-laminated! They often do

Big oval speaker that is no longer glued together

Sub woofer is working but no oomph! With high volume and full base and no treble with full sub woofer it begins to sound OK but not earth shattering like in my old one.. Turn down the volume a small amount and it gets tinny. Could be more of an amp problem? 2012 5.0L S/C

I also suffer pretty much the same "symptoms" in my 2012 TDV8.
Have noi tried all sources and all settings in the touchscreen - with and without logic etc.
Absolutely no difference at all. If you set the subwoofer to max, its still pretty much non existent.

The subwoofer membrane is moving by the feel, but the base seems to come from just the fowrard door speakers.

The dealer checked and said - "membrane moves, so its o.k." - can't believe its not delivering more base.

Its the HD 1200 W system.

Any ideas?

Took mine in to the dealer for them to take a look. They said they did a software upgrade. No significant difference. Only sounds powerful at very high volume. Nowhere near as good as the old system in my 2007 tdv8 vogue se. Dealer days that there is nothing wrong with it! I now have sub woofer and base to near max and treble to near min. Barely acceptable sound but not good. 2012 5.0L S/C

Same Same.... again dissapointing (same dissapointment than with the missing infolevel in the main TFT)

I need to make up my mind now and see if I am willing to keep that vehicle.

Can't see me getting used to stuff not working properly or not being there at all... in a 120k€ car.
No way...
