The 322 is 35mph and is a bit of a pain if you are green laning... driving between lanes and it swaps back to standard height.... 50+ would be much better.... Pete

The l405 would have a higher threshold for high speed dirt roads with ruts and undulations so you do not find out the hard way by dragging the front through an undulation or hitting the bottom of the car in normal road height. It works well in Australia where we have rutted corrugated dirt roads. |

On L405, a warning (audible and visual) activates at 30 mph. How or why would this be ignored other than in an extreme situation.

The warning comes on around 53mph in the TDV6 I'm driving at the moment. It lowers to Normal Height at this speed. |

The L405 and L494 has 2 off-road heights 35 mm and 65 mm, not specifically selectable but dependent on speed.

I often use the off-road height on motorways when in controlled traffic e.g. the M60 currently has a massive 50mph stretch and I want a clearer view of the traffic ahead . The L405 seating position for me is noticeably lower than the L322 - the car is around 2inches lower in normal height mode than the L322 if I remember and so the off-road option gets me roughly back to where I was.
