I would play around with it for a bit so see if the auto setting is sensitive enough for your liking. I would also be inclined to change the settings myself than wait for problems but on the other hand, from what I understand the engineers are JLR have done a really good job on this. Although there are some members on the forum complaining about some funny stuff going on in the auto setting that makes the car a bit less comfortable in "normal mode". MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

It's very sensitive and probably had switched itself to Grass/Gravel/Snow without you even noticing (the display does not tell you in Auto mode). The only way to tell would be to take it out of Auto and seeing what was displayed.

I'm sure mine displays what mode its in on the 4x4i screen. Certainly noticed it changing from one mode to another quite frequently. '14.5 SDV8 Nara Bronze for sale
