Very nice Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

We have a 90 and 110 both v8s and as much as they are drafty, noisy, uneconomical to use daily, I do like using them.....but not in the winter ......or rain come to think of it..... Whistle ( you'll find out when it rains and all that condensation is on the sun roof Rolling with laughter )

So what up grades are on the cards Adam........cage, gigglepin twin winch, front and rear arb lockers........furry dice....oh the shopping list is endless on a new defender owner Twisted Evil If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

had my boss's 63 plate for 2 weeks ,

before driving always fancied 1,
after driving my thoughts changed ,
1st gear is useless on the 6 speed, and had to have the window down to turn the steering wheel Rolling Eyes
so uncomfortable,
much preferred my old d2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Nothing you've said isn't true, but when you have the Land Rover bug, you just can't shake it, there's just something about them you love, in spite of all the flaws and problems.

I won't be doing any serious off reading so winches etc are not on the cards, but I do plan to jazz it up. Discovery 4 HSE

I agree with the sentiments entirely. The 90/110 is possibly the most unergonomic piece of Censored out there BUT I would never be without it, even the FF would go before it, like an ugly big dog, nightmare but worth it!! Bow down

Looking way too clean Adam, time to start bashing though the mud my friend Smile

You might want to put a clear or nicely coloured or funky graphics wrap on the sides to protect that lovely paint against scratches. Maybe even do a full plastidip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J6rRj98A5s&list=WL&index=72 although please use a nicer colour) on it Wink.

In effect, don't use it as shooting vehicle, it looks way too nice for that Wink.

If I were you, I would do a full Twisted treatment on it. Massive amount of sound deadening inside, under the bonnet, on the firewall, wheel arches etc.. Put some really comfy FFRR seats in it, nice stereo system and use it for going around town from time to time Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Eugene,

Having seen how much all the Defender shops charge for things, I am hoping to do it myself like I did last time, though this one is much more civilised than my Td5. Discovery 4 HSE

Hey Adam, I would do the mods myself as well. First of all it is cheaper and second I think it will be a better job as you can do exactly what you want to do i.e. the things that are important to you. Plus that doing that sort of work is actually quite a lot of fun if you are not in a hurry !!!

I see a nice new thread coming up Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Looking good - mine got a wee work out on Tuesday, we were down doing some conservation work in rural perthshire where we were putting deer and hare protection on some rare mountain willow that grow up near the tops. Got a good way in with the Landy's and then it was the argo.

I was down at Challenger 4x4 the other day to get the brakes sorted and spent the next hour or so admiring this one that they're in the process off upgrading for a client...

...purchased brand new and then about £10ks worth of 'extras' in the form of bespoke roll cage etc. etc. etc. Apparently the guy just uses it as his 'shooting' car for ploughing around his estate. He's certainly got a good taste in toys. Life is what happens while youre making other plans.
