But the FF *is* a high end German marque - have your forgotten the X5 underneath the FF bodyshelll? Tym (current) L322 3.6 TDV8 Vogue 2008 Tonga Green (previous) L322 4.4 LPG Vogue SE 2003 If it sticks, force it. If it breaks, it needs replacing anyway. |

Even at the end there were lots of BMW bits, but an L322 isn't an X5 underneath. |

Glad I found this thread. I've been having similar thoughts as I think about whether to change my L322 next year; the 405 AB was at the top of my list, but the S class coupe started to creep in (only me in the car 99% of the time).

If you said a sensible merc, like the Sl65 amg, I might agree with you, but surely an S class is best experienced from the back seat, not from behind the wheel?

I have a W140 S320 and must say I like it despite it having some 19 year old car in hot climate issues. But I can't wait until I get my FFRR here and get rid of the Benz.

I think you should look at these things objectively. The FFRR is a great car but I think it's great to experience different types of car, even if you go back to a full fat in the end Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White

It's not usually, but if you have a hankering after a new motor and want to weight up your options having an objective think about things can be very useful
