United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Morning all
I'm going to change both belts on my car 4.2 S/C, before I start:

1, Can anyone confirm if a normal 32 mm spanner will fit the viscous fan?
2, Is it possible to improvise holding the fan, or is there a readily available tool from Halfords etc.

Any advise before I start would be appreciated. Land Rover wanted £465 to supply and fit, I bought the belts for £90 the pair (Genuine) so happy to plod on for a day if it saves me this amount,

Thanks SC 4.2, 2012 face lifted, 25K miles, 1 previous owner

im not familiar with this engine, however, the same proccedure to many similar engines, would be, to draw a diagram first, and take a few pics, of how the belt is threaded etc. as it can be very confusing when the belt is off, as to how it goes back on! its usyally a case of flexing a small damper that applies spring tension, (an idler pulley) and pulling it off there, then releasing the tension. then belt is removed, then threaded back on, and a spanner is used to re-spring the tensioner, to allow it back on, and released, confirming, that the grooved belt is indeed on the same groove on all pulleys. normally, you can start car up to check its running right, and inspect, with torch, with the fan off, for a minute of two.

you could search the web, for a photo'd proceedure, as engine is same as jaguar version? i believe.

£465 Shocked jeez, that must include his fine dining, in his lunchbreak as well.
