Hi all,

Sorry for another question..

Ive recently become aware, when coming from a complete stop, it seems to be when the car is going from second to first, the car shunts forwards slightly, the change from first into second doesn't seem to be as smooth as it should be also.

To experiment, I put the car in to manual and kept it in second gear coming to the stop, I didn't get the shunt then.

The rest of the changes seem completely fine,

Is this something to worry about? the cars done 42000 miles, so not many miles on the gearbox

From what I'm aware, it's a common gearbox trait that possibly a software update could cure. As you've no other problems, I don't see any great concern. Mine does it occasionally. Si. <This is my name.

Whatever you do DO NOT under any circumstances clear the gearbox adaptions !
or even interfere with any gearbox electronic settings.

Dealers were told originally that before the transmission control software was reflashed they must reset the adaptions first. Problems then sometimes occurred if the clutches slipped excessively while trying to re-learn the new settings, causing the clutches to be permanently damaged.
