When checking main dealer service histories be advised that they do a "cheap" service package that does the very bare minimum, but they still stamp the book... no way of telling unless you phone the dealer and ask...

Pete, are you referring to the A and B services? My main dealer only does the packages listed in the handbook, not a cheaper option to be seen, only A or B and then the supplementary items like brakes which are done as needed. |

Went today and looked at this car.... And came back both delighted and disappointed. Delighted that's it's definitely the type of car I would like to get, but disappointed that people expect to get strong cash for a rough car. It's definetly done its 80k miles.....

There are other Westminsters out there around that age and the paint was stunning, dark dark blue.

It seems a lot of money for a pre face lift car with very "marmite" body kit / wheels.

The early Westminsters were between a Vogue and a VSE. They were also awkward to insure originally as it was not a common spec (I was going to buy one) so I went for a VSE instead. They were basically a Vogue with deployable steps, unique pattern wheels (which OF binned in favour of their oversized fecks) heated & cooled seats with nice leather and a wood/leather steering wheel. They were all 3.6 diesels in the early guise, no S/C option.
