If you mean on the key fob then it's either got a button stuck down permanently (in which case it will drain it's battery in a day or so) or the battery is duff anyway.
Do you have a second key? Is that the same?
Try taking the first key out of range of the car (down the garden) and using the second key. Discovery 4 HSE
