To be fair they look almost identical to the OEM ones that I had fitted to mine.

Hi, car went in today to have flaps fitted but wrong ones ordered (my fault, car purchased without steps so dealer ordered the associated flaps not knowing steps had been fitted).

Thinking of non LR side steps myself as dealer has quoted me £670 +vat for the fixed steps (so £804) or £1118 fitted (incl vat) , so a pair for around £200 fitted myself seems to be the way to go as comparing the 2 , I can't see any significant difference except the lack of the logo as already stated |

![]() I think they look fine - but would hardly call them almost invisible..... The deployable ones are almost invisible - but very expensive & a PITA ![]() |

These look better than the deployable steps that I have, wish the first owner has spent less and gone this route instead |

Ended up buying the LR fixed steps (noticed a Main Dealer was doing 20% off so went to my Main Dealer who immediately price matched) at a cost of £688 incl vat. Fitted them myself, took longer than I thought as the LR instructions don't quite cover everything you have to do - a few more self tapping screws and plastic poppers and brackets to loosen that are not listed. Dealer says 3.5hr job, LR instructions say 2.9 - my time - 6hrs for off side, 5 hrs for nearside - although my time was extended as I didn't have the car on a ramp, just in super-extended mode on my drive so a lot of moving in and out under the car (I did have 2 x 3 tonne axle stands under the normal garage lifting points in case the suspension decided to lower itself!!) and removing and fitting the 2 full length protective covers was pretty tricky. Must say, the only reason the covers are removed is to cut out a 4 sections to allow the step supports to slot in, but they have large gaps where these fit anyway so I can't understand why LR didn't just have larger gaps in the first place so that the brackets could simply be bolted in without removing anything. That along with 14 pre-threaded bolt holes would have been nice, as the position of the holes made it awkward to hand ream the threads with my 10mm tap. Ah well, all done now and they are great, so worth the 11hrs effort I think |
