On my L322, the seat would be set automatically as I unlocked it based on which key I opened the car with.

My L405 doesn't seem to do this - I have to select the seat position after my wife has been driving it (& vice versa) - even though we have our own key.

Is this normal ? I can't find anything in the manuals

Am I wrong or isn't this called Lazy Entry and can be turned on / off via the on-board computer??

I'm sure it can on the L322 but I keepp mine turned off as we share a driving position anyway.

Also, if you want the steering wheel to 'move out of the way' when you turn the engine off to help with entry/exit, you need to make sure the steering wheel adjuster knob is turned to the automatic position else it stays where it is i.e. only moves when you select a memory seat position or move it manually. Steve

Thanks - I found the steering wheel thingy - just haven't been able to figure the seats - will have another look through the menus tonight

It may be something that you need an IID/Faultmate or similar tool for. I remember switching it all on with my Faultmate on the 4.2. Steering and seat are separate settings IIRC. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Everything else is there - drive away locking, 2 stage unlocking, headlight delay etc. seems odd that they would leave this one out.

Oh well, I guess I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow

L405 - The keys are the same and you don't have Driver-1 and Driver-2 settings tied to each different key. You need to press the seat memory button you have programmed to get your seating position to adjust. When you use Convenience mode, it remembers the last seat position that was selected from the seat memory buttons ... so if you are tall and your wife is short and she had just been driving last, you might find yourself being compacted if you don't press your memory seat number. I think LR used 10+ year old technology on this one!

One of the really nice features of the L322 was that by the time I got in, the seat was in the right place for me even after my wife had been driving.

Yes I found this out too. Very annoying considering that I had this feature on my 2003/05/07 and 12 but not my 2015!  If you have nothing nice to say,say nothing at all.

One good thing with the L405 if you are the sole driver, is that as you turn the engine off the seat moves back and down and the steering wheel up and out of the way for ease of access and then when you get back in and press the engine start, it goes back to the last memory position (as already stated), my L322 only used to move the wheel out of the way and left the seat where it was , so it has improved in 1 respect but gone backwards in another  Steve
