New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Hahahahahahaha turned into quite a argumentative thread again.

As for Scotty, glad you like your Cam Tech fiddled FFRR mate. Doesn't matter how fast/powerful it really is, just that you having a great car in it and enjoy it for what it is a brilliant version of the 3.6 TDV8.

Hitting the brakes right in front of someone tailgating, although I would love to do it sometimes, I don't because I don't want to risk hurting someone badly. I literally look down on them but don't think it is right to put them at even more risk, it is just not worth it to risk hurting them or others around. People like that always get their comupance/karma at some point, I always hope that it is only metal and plastic and not flesh and bone when it happens.

I usually speed up a bit quickish and then move over (both if possible) so they can rush to their super important meeting/appointment and hope they don't hurt anyone doing it. I feel sorry for them that their life is being driven by time. To be fair, it could be someone on their way to a sick family member (kid) or something genuinely serious to them. Not that that makes it right but not all bumperklevers (weirdly enough translates into bumperstickers Wink ) are a-holes. That it is stupid of them to take such risks but hey people do and not a lot of things you can do about it (safely). If you are serious about it, why not install a rear facing dashcam and post them on the internet, no danger to anyone and if it reaches them, they might think again.

I enjoyed my little trip in Germany where I could open the FFRR a bit more than in the rest of Europe and I LOVED it, chasing a few Porsches (for a bit until they really hit the loudpedal of course). It is just nice to have that much power on tap and it helps getting past slower cars a lot quicker. Do you need it ?? No way but it is lovely to have. If I really want to go fast then I just get the B-King out and twist the throttle a bit quickly Smile no four wheeler (other than a few very expensive super/hypercars) comes close to that thrill EVER (IMHO). Plus the fun of sliding through a curve in a way no four wheeler can ever do.

I love my FFRR even though it can never compete with the super hot SUVs like Audi/Porsche and the likes. Those cars may be a bit faster on twisties etc. but they fall flat when going off road, feel a bit cramped to be in etc. etc. If I want a road racer I'd be looking at a GT-R (I can't afford a Murcielago Spider I'm afraid but an older GT-R may be possible in the near future Smile ).

There are not that many really unique cars in the world but the FFRR is most definitely a very unique car that none of the others can really come close to, ever. That, to me, is the true brilliance of the FFRR, whether it has the "small" diesels or the slightly bonkers 4.4/5.0 engines.

Lets face it, Audi only had one truly unique car the Quattro (that did set the stage for 4wd in "normal" cars by the way), everything else they build as nice but never truly staggering, not the R8 not the bonkers RS models, just the Quattro. While JLR has quite a range of truly unique cars in their line up (now and in the past). The only good thing about Audi is Lamborghini IMHO now that are truly unique/special cars (most of them). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Assuming this a remapped 3.6 TDV8, there is no way it's quicker or faster than an SQ5.

TDV8 Range Rovers are not quick cars by any stretch of the imagination - L322 4.4 TDV8 performance is roughly on a level with very mundane rep fodder like a 520d.

You can't really argue with this post, yes a TDV8 is a great car, it gives reasonable performance especially for something as large and heavy as an L322 but it's by no stretch of the imagination quick when compared to other types of vehicles.

Although I did beat an RS6 on my sisters push bike last week, true story!.

Shocked OMG what a thread....I thought Range Rover drivers were grown ups. Proving that yours is bigger is for 16 year old and low brainers. Whilst I agree that there is some silly, dangerous and irresponsible stuff on this thread, I think you need to take a "chill pill" and reflect on some of the truly "unpleasant" and bad things in the world Whistle Rolling Eyes Whistle Rolling Eyes

You are quoting the wrong Audi there - the SQ5 has a twin turbo 3l Diesel engine with around 310bhp. 0-60 is 5.1s. The model you quoted is the single turbo - also the SQ5 was launched only a couple of years ago

This post is actually worse than one of your previous posts when I commented about you illegal numberplate and you said that it didn't matter as your MRS was in the traffic Police and you would get off with it......I suppose if you get caught racing another car in you 1500BHP Camtech Special she would get you off with that as well Rolling with laughter

Now you claim your 3.6TDV8 absolutely thrashed an SQ5.......... Yawn what utter Censored Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....
